Computer Science for All

Portland Metro STEM Partnership has received a grant from the state of Oregon for $870,000 with the intention of increasing access and inclusivity in Computer Science so that historically underserved students feel a sense of belonging.

A major focus of this program is to encourage students who are historically and systemically underrepresented to feel that they belong in computer science education and careers.

Program FUNDING

OUT OF SCHOOL PROGRAMS

We are pleased to announce that we have selected the following educator providers within our hub boundaries to each receive contracts of $24,000 each for out of school providers.

The “Computer Science for All” program specifically focuses on engaging historically underrepresented students in computer science. Programs receiving contracts can be typical coding or programming robots, but can also be about using logical problem-solving skills to address issues students find in their communities.
