eDUCATOR eXTERNSHIPS

The Portland Metro STEM Partnership (PMSP) facilitates immersive externships for out-of-school educators, career counselors, and math, science, and Career Technical Education (CTE) teachers. An externship is an on-site, place-based learning experience for educators to directly engage with industry professionals and experience high wage, high demand jobs firsthand. Coaches and facilitators help participating educators make connections between the content they teach and industry applications, empowering them to bring those connections directly to their students. In 2026, PMSP partnered with 15 industry partners to facilitate a week-long and multiple single-day externships.
