Five Oaks MS 6th Grade Science Playground
Middle Schoolers are the BEST! The PMSP was invited to lead 6th Grade Five Oaks students in a STEM Bite Lesson on the Human Body System. Tiffany and Leah spent three days using our own Human Body Kit, from our Lending Library, and the Human Body Systems STEM Bite, from our STEM Bites website, to help students observe the interaction between vital signs and physical activities, explore healthcare careers, and consider healthcare pathways and opportunities. As one 6th grader said, "This is the best day I have ever had in science!" Thank you to the Five Oaks students, educator team, and 6th grade science teachers Julie Clay and Leah Harvey for inviting us to spend time with your amazing students.

ORENCO Elementary Professional Development
To kick off Fall Break, the PMSP team partnered with the dedicated teachers of Orenco Elementary on their beautiful campus for a day of hands‑on professional learning. We explored the 5E instructional model, investigated place‑based phenomena, and designed student‑centered adjustments that bring curriculum to life in local contexts. The session blended teacher expertise, current educational research, and the strengths of the school community into a lively, practical experience. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Orenco as they pursue excellence in teaching and learning.
