PMSP @ Portland Pickles Science Night!

PMSP was so excited to be invited to Science Night at Walker Stadium with the Portland Pickles Baseball Team! Our booth featured science themed stickers and temporary tattoos, along with lollipops for adults and kids alike, and a button making machine! Buttons are a great onramp to spark curiosity in design and engineering fundimentals. Kids created their own button and it was wonderful to see their faces light up at their new wearable creation!

We also got to share the space with some wonderful organizations such as Experiment PDX (they were making pickles glow!), Pulp + Deckle, Rose City Laboratories (had a big water fountain!), Portland Urban Beekeepers, OMSI(lots on in field explosions), and more! Events like these have the potential to ignite a new curiosity in kids (and adults!) who may not see STEM in themselves. Thank you to The Pickles for incorporating STEM in sports!
