THORNOVATION Invitational

It was a special experience to co-host the first annual THORNovation event with First Tech Federal Credit Union and Portland Thorns FC but we wanted to again thank all of our volunteers, participating programs Building Blocks 2 Success, Project LEDO, R J Reynolds High School Oregon MESA, and Adelante Mujeres Chicas, and all of their students. A huge thank you to Maseeh College of Engineering and Computer Science, Portland State University for hosting the event and the PSU student clubs who supported the event PSU ASCE Portland State University, Viking Motorsports, and Portland State Aerospace Society. Looking forward to doing it again!

There were over 70 students who participated in the event from 5th grade through College. Over 100 volunteers helped make this event possible. There were a number of awards earned by students, teams, and their programs. Students showcased their designs and creations, and interacted with Innovation Scouts, composed of educators, industry professionals, and even Olympic Gold medalists. It was a privilage to work with the group that put this on and the people who participated in this event!
